Since moving to our new house, we have been so blessed to meet great people right in our neighborhood, thus making it feel more like home.
We have a lot of fun together; I love these guys!!
Anyway, the gals of the group decided it would be a good time if we planned ourselves a Girls’ Getaway.
And. . . we actually followed through.
There were a few who couldn’t come, however, and they were greatly missed.
Guess we’ll have to do it again soon so they can come
We left on a Friday with no plan other than a hotel res in Park City.
We ended up getting pedicures at Walmart, 10 minutes from home and then spending way too much time there picking out trashy magazines, yummy treats and necessary toiletries.
Again, 10 minutes from home.
But there was no one under 18 in our party, so who cares?
Next we headed to Spaghetti Factory, one of our favs.
And it didn’t disappoint.
We arrived in Park City, got checked in at the Mariott, got all ready and got headed out for a night on Main Street.
Mostly club hoppin.
We thought we were going to sleep in, but the next morning we were awoken by a crazy woman pacing the room and demanding we review our hotel reservation on her phone (Amber).
As it turned out, there was not an outdoor pool as she had thought when she booked it, and she was just now realizing it.
So after breakfast at our hotel, we improvised and headed to a Marriott that had an outdoor pool.
We spent all day basking in the sun’s rays by the pool, talking, relaxing, snacking and reading.
Nobody wore sunscreen and shockingly, everyone got burnt!!
That led to everyone popping ibuprofen as commanded by the trip mother (Cristy).
I had no idea that stuff helped with inflammation caused by sunburns!
Some of us got burnt worse than others, but wore it proudly, as you can see.
That night we got all ready and hit the town again.
Don’t ask about the gang signs.
Ate dinner at Baja Cantina
Our Reliable Ride
And then did more serious shopping on Main Street.
This time, for fur loin cloths.
The next morning, we ate breakfast on Main St and then hit the outlets of course!
But we had to rush due to someone who had a lame birthday party to attend (Kristina).
And what’s a trip without a few reoccurring themes:
Lost phones
Prayers
Pumping
Eating
Runaway trucks
Late nights
Compliments
Hoodies
Sunburns
No sense of direction
The pink hat
