This year was the first year we were actually home for the 4th of July.
So we went to the local firework hangout (Idahoans, think Bannock Fairgrounds) where we sat close enough to get pelted with ash.
And then we enjoyed BBQ-ing and lighting off fireworks (well, all of us but little E did) with our friends on the actual day.
And of course we enjoyed introducing this little one to one of our favorite holidays.
The Master of Ceremonies, unloading his loot.
This dude hated the fireworks so bad that he disowned me completely and adopted a new mom for the night who took him inside her house to escape the abuse.
We partied so hard we were all left plain worn out.
And her sister wanted to try her hand at photography. I was left without about 100 pics on my phone that looked just like this.
We love our country and the blessings we have because we live here!!
